Honestly Halo 5 became pretty cool when they started doing playlists that stripped out a lot of the unnecessary s***. It was just too little, too late.

i totally get where you're coming from cause i too spent hours and hours with my friends trying to be pros lmao we came kinda close but couldn't quite get there will never forget the time we got to play against final boss even though we lost lul

sprint would definitely be a pretty major disappointment, but i feel like that's a given mechanic in any shooter nowadays so i guess i could live with it. if the maps are actually GOOD (cause they've been s*** since 3) and the overall playstyle is more akin to the original trilogy i'll be satisfied.

I’m willing to compromise on sprint with a few contingencies maybe. It’s a staple in FPS’s so I totally see why they add it, but I never thought any of the Halos implemented it in a way that merited the addition of the mechanic. :( it just needs to still FEEL like Halo more than anything for me so I think we’re on the same page with that.

Maps are the biggest problem for me rn in current Halo, too. H4 has nothing memorable to it and H5 has maps that were in the right direction but still played like poop lol

The one thing I feel 343 did right about the campaigns was explore the forerunners like we’ve never seen

The only counter argument to this is they should have left them mysterious as it was in the first games, that can only go on for so long before you just stop caring because we knew nothing about them

I really hope mendicant and the primordial are involved in this game, especially considering mendicant is responsible for pretty much the entire universe at this point, it’s the reason chief found requiem in 4 and the reason the spirit of fire found the ark

The amount of story and lore at zeta is insane and I really hope the structure that we all think is the palace of pain IS the palace of pain
