Halo 3-whatever number they would be on now Forge and custom games advanced but basic gameplay I think added too many elements and weapons where it lost some of its soul

Destiny 1 and 2 gunplay is closer to Halo 1, 2 than much of what bungie did with 3, reach to me. Besides equipment and getting more RPG like but halo 2 and 1 everyone being on a equal playing field no loadouts

I played Halo 2 at launch and willing to bite the "its nostalgia" bullet. But I genuinely like the gameplay of 1 and 2 more than most of what came after. Obviously Reach is solid , 3 solid , 4 ehhh, 5 ehhh but I really really didn't need equipment in most cases even if maps were fire throughout
