I think there were a bunch of contributing factors to the initial hype and imo hardly any of it had to do with the actual game itself (surprise drop, new MP arena shooter, the strength of the halo name, streamers shilling til their contracts were up)

partially agree with that but i really do think they made the right moves leading up to the release of the game but either overpromised (or lied even lol) in certain areas
