DMR is a pickup first of all and pistol only did better at longer ranges which is obvious cause it’s not meant to be proper utility weapon lol but autos entirely out performed any utility weapon at high rates in mid to close range. This is good in isolation but when you have a variety of movement mechanics to close the distance then your utility weapons start to lose their utility cause they’re losing more encounters than not at a given range lol you saw top players dropping utilities for storm rifles and the like in h5.

Extra movement mechanics are 100% not necessary for modern shooters but I’ma ignore that headcanon.

A new release in 2021 that involves you slow walking into the battlefield is not finna fly

Fastest TTK from a multi shot non power weapon in infinite is at 1 sec flat w the commando. 343 def hooks up the auto weapons lol idk how you can deny that

Cause you have to drop your gun. First 3 games were built on a run n gun style. You completely miss out on that when you’re compromising shooting for slightly faster movement

F or example

In H2, I can make a full rotation around the edges of midship and the whole time I’m able to focus my sights on where my team is looking and shooting/where the other team is positioned

In h5, to do that same rotation, I can’t afford to look anywhere except forward because first of all even if I did I’m sprinting so I can’t shoot unless I stop, then I gotta look forward to clamber over the ledge, and probably another ledge after? I think? to get to the top of pink tower.

In one game I’m constantly participating and it’s obvious which one.

How is adding all of this to the game ‘strategy?’ How is it benefitting the overall core gameplay?
