and everybody else who is unclear why I said "1st listen review";

So ever since the album dropped, and since I've been busy, having other things I've had going on in my everyday life, I might have listened to the album once every week or every 10 days. So being that I've listened to it 3-4 times, a 14 song ~60min album, I haven't had the chance to digest the songs/get to know them. Prior to today you could have asked me of a certain lyric or vocal part and I know I wouldn't have been able to always give the right answer. Cause I didn't get to know the tracks well enough. Still, prior to today's (first half) relisten, I remembered only bits of songs, maybe the most catchy/memorable parts that get stuck to your mind more easily.

In a way it's a first listen review same way as buying a kilometer zero car/a brand new car with zero mileage. Of course the car has been tested by the manufacturer, so it's used a tiny bit, but it's used so little it's almost unused.

Haha you're funny bro, don't tell me you really think that! Of course they're genuine! 😁 And if I cared so much about what others think I wouldn't have dragged on/procrastinated finishing the review, I would have gone out of my way to finish it! 🤣🤣🤣 I've been really busy, (also maybe procrastinated a little, haha, but) I also wanted to be calm and confortable, with no distractions when I gave the first listens, to write down what the songs made me experience, that's why it took so long lol

I've always spoken my mind, and in this case, the only one who can influence my opinion is Abel when I press "play".

These valuations are as far as initial listen(s) can go, maybe upon further replays some of the scores may rise--or maybe decrease.
Also, didn't you say in another post that from "Scared to Live" onwards the songs are a 7-10? Truth be told, there are some really nice tracks in this LP. The test of time will be the real test though.
The "as a weeknd fan" scores are based on Venn diagram, partly on my preferences of what kind of Abel songs I like, also by considering their place comparing with all the other songs in his 10 year discography, but most of all, about what value they hold individually.
Abel put time to make these songs, the least I can do is give them a proper chance with an open mind, and acknowledge whatever values they may have. As they say, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s" :)

I don't speak english as my first language, so for the language barrier I can't say I fully understood the second sentence but I guess it's ok though 😅🍻

PS. I know i still haven't finished mine, but I can't find your first listen review anymore, I guess you deleted it 😭 damn, I wanted to read it, but in order not to spoil the album, I evaded it along with any other discussion threads, I wanted to read it after I got to know a bit the songs...
