The giant gorilla was placed in Bowling Green Park, directly across from the famous Charging Bull statue, which was surrounded by 10,000 bananas (that will later be donated to local food banks and community fridges) to make a point about wealth disparity.
Sapien.Network co-founders Robert Giometti, Tejay Aluru and Ankit Bhatia said they used the symbol of Harambe to represent the millions who struggle under a U.S. capitalist system
Giometti told News 4 Monday, "it’s not about rejecting capitalism or the current system. It's about revolving them into the current future and letting them empower more groups of people. That's the whole point of this story."
yeah idk about that one chief
BennY would be so happy

Well, the symbolism behind it is nice. Would be good if capitalism became more sustainable & societally responsible. Whether you’re a hardline capitalist or socialist, I think we can all agree that the wealth disparity globally is fkn disgusting. Sure, if you want to make more money to get nicer things, you can. But that doesn’t mean people get disenfranchised by your pursuit and die of f***ing hunger.
Evil world we live in.

not sure if Harambe is really a great symbol for that
There's a whole different dimension to the symbolism if you just look at how that tweet frames it. The near future doesn't look so bright if we are the 3 year old and the ape is the market.
