Hollow Knight gave me more trouble than any Fromsoft boss I think. Cuphead too. I'm just kinda s*** at platformers I guess.
Feels like you’re making excuses for the games tbh.
I'd argue not since 3
Demons and 2 for sure
Ds1 has its moments like the stupid ass placements of the enemies in the lava area
But overall in the modern era no imo
If its "really" difficult then youre build is probably ass (which can happen in any rpg), youre doing things too early or youre ignoring core mechanics of the game wither by not knowing it (which is fine or some dumb self imposed restriction on yourself (which is dumb asl imo). Also lesser things like still getting used to the wonky unique controls that everyone has to go through & isnt friendly, or youre being impatient or ignorant of your gameplay or surroundings.
The games have multiple legit builds & methods, of dealing with most things & this isnt even talking about the actual cheat stuff like fire 3000 arrows from afar or throw poison bombs over the gate.
I think theyve hit a good inbetween point sonce BB n DS3, n part of reason why i dont think DS1 is top 3 of the series like some nostalgics do.

Same.
Im bad at 2d games in general for the most part.
The hardest games oat imo is Furi, Cuphead & Ninja Gaiden Black (Alma of NGB is the most bullshit unfair and grueling ounishing thing oat).
This is while Souls & MH are top 10 series for myself, which are usually the poster boys of modern day difficulty along with Hollow Knight.
SOULS DIEHARDS are hilarious but I would never expect an argument would start in the harry potter game thread
Its always either Souls or GTA being used as a comparison to downplay or big up some other game by some person randomly
Always happens especially with AAA titles
Gow 5 optional area bosses are the most frusturating thing ever
More than Souls, Monster Hunter & whatever the hell
Game is goat besides those
Dont talk about cheap hits and literal sponges until you do the optional bosses & endgame content of Gow 5, even worst because its not flexible like a true rpg so you literally have to power through it instead of alternate legit methods, leveling or better char builds/equipment
The only bad thing about the game
Are you talking about the beserkers?
I lost my s*** at those
Haven’t raged like that in awhile
i'm playing it with my girlfriend and i realize the character she made looks like Uffie
Summons took the fun out of the game but seeing how I never used magic in any Dark Souls game before Elden Ring was my first and it was surprisingly good and it got even better after an update. OP even
I bought the game because of summons
I thought you'd be able to make a build tailored to using summons all the time.

I respect that everyone should have their own way to play. Sucks you couldn’t reallly build into simmons tho
ER difficulty is hard to even gauge for me. Like definitely for a first time FromSoft game player, it will more than likely be difficult. ER was my from FromSoft game, so I ain't know s*** about builds n stat allocations etc. I feel like once you at least know what stats go where, and what build you want to do, it's a moderately difficult game. Like mechanically there is of course a high skill ceiling, but I'd say if you could reach half of that you'd be fine cruising through the game. Combine that with the numerous OP builds, and you're coasting for the most part.
For me I think there are just a lot of dated mechanics that make the game have an artificial difficulty level. Some questionable game design choices as well imo.

Dam u suck
Your Reddit gold should upload momentarily
Thanks brother
y'all really are buying ps5s for this game?
Well I know I’ll need one in general. God of war. Spidey. Ect.
Game’s alright so far. 6.5-7/10.
Writing is the epitome of mediocre though. Everything feels very truncated.
Also, most of the characters kind of have the same vibe, even the guy from Slytherin. The writers seem to have been trying really hard to push an inoffensive “joyful” tone and it can come off as really forced at times.
Think this is the probably the consequence of having HP nerd fans as the writers as opposed to having them focus on the world building/environment/art design of the game, they don’t seem to be doing anything interesting with the material for the most part, just revering and basking in it.
Which results in the game feeling like the most expensive fan game ever made. Which is fine, but there’s no shot that something like this would be a “great” that stands the test of time.
Strikes me as a hit it and quit type game.

After all that wait you missed the delusion of hype at launch so now you just think its meh

Still better than what I thought it would be at the very least.
Thought it would be a 4 or 5.
Also, I don’t really fall into that much. If you ever see my ratings of games, even newly released ones , they’re pretty fair.
