it was a STEAL at ~20$ and have been loving it ever since

it really makes me feel like my own adventure/chapter in the wizarding world which is something I been longing for since reading the books as a kid.

made my character look just like me and going to classes, meeting friends, exploring, making my own wand, figuring out spells, combat, all top notch

I can see why this game sold so well

I liked a bunch of things about this game as a Harry Potter stan but the Merlin trials are so damn cumbersome every time

Finally getting to this now that it’s on game pass. This game is so boring. What a shame that this was made in the era of open world destroy the encampment collectathon busy work AAA slop

The best selling game of 2023, and they pretty much just abandoned it.

Still a really good shot at an open world Harry Potter game, but held back by a few things

• Really bland and non threatening villain, seriously we went from Voldemort to this manlet?

• generic open world collect-a-thon bs

• lack of enemy variety.. no Dementors is INSANE

• Real lack of roleplaying/impactful decisions

The things that they did nail tho are:

• The atmosphere of Hogwarts and the overworld

• Combat felt intuitive and fun

• everything seems lore accurate from what i can tell

So if they ever do a sequel and improve upon its flaws we could have a true banger. As someone who likes the universe i already enjoyed this a lot but yeah its not all the way there yet. Theres some potential waiting to be fulfilled

Really don’t think Harry is necessary at all tbh but it looks like that’s the way they’re going with all the reports of storylines for HL2 being synced up with the upcoming HBO remake

Sequel needs more in depth classes for sure, at least take note from Bully where each class is its own mini-game that progresses in difficulty and complexity as time goes on.

Also would be cool for there to be more wizard games in general, wizard chess, cards etc.

And obviously a full Quidditch tournament.

Now that this been out for a long time is there anything from the trailer you wish they included in the final product or did it surpass this leak?

It definitely surpassed my expectations. I expected it to just be one of those typical movie-based games.
