I remember as kids in the og games my boy would throw every quidditch game and purposely act bad so Slytherin would win the house cup instead of gryffindor

thats how slithers get down fr
Obviously I want this to turn out great, but I don't think it will tbh Never played a HP game before, but Idk how combat could even work with all the spells in the books. And so far it's just looked like players spamming the same few spells while the character twirls around. Facial animations look terrible too. I'm anticipating Hogwarts: Zero Dawn
Still probably copping tho

I've been playing HP games since the GBA era. Trust me when I say the combat is already the most advanced they've ever had by a mile.
Of course this s*** isn't gonna be very complex but it's hands down the best they've ever had.
So if you aren't a big HP fan you might feel a little let down by it, but it looks perfectly fine to me.
As long as you can have recurring classes and just chill at Hogwarts without having to do the story makes it an automatic cop for me.
Only thing it's lacking is Quidditch, everything else looks on point for me.
Im not asking for breath of the wild or God of war tier quality.
got some good memories of the first two harry potter gamecube games. hope they do it justice

It's looking like it. But you never know nowadays with games.
But if they can mainly just nail the feel of being a student of Hogwarts fans of the franchise won't complain.

The room of requirement looks crazy, planting seeds and having potions brewing for you is such a dope concept Really love the common rooms too. It's going to be a love letter to fans for sure, but I have a feeling it'll be a big world with meh side quests and unsatisfying gameplay. I don't really have high standards for the plot, just make engaging characters that cause me to feel something
I don't even need quidditch tbh. I think that would be difficult for the developers, the physics and everything. It's like a whole separate game in itself Getting to ride a broom around Hogwarts grounds is enough for me

Yeah honestly, with what they have in place, I'm already pretty satisfied.
My standards are set pretty low for this lol.
They've added so much I don't see it disappointing me. It doesn't even seem like a short game, this looks like it could really hit 40 hours with what you have to do with school plus everything outside of Hogwarts to explore.
Which is more than I could hope for.
I'm sure most of the side content won't be super interesting but finding cute ass animals to rescue and the hidden secrets in the school will be pretty cool. I remember finding the secrets in the ps2 games was pretty enjoyable.
And I love the room of requirement, how you can put a cottage in there seems dope.
There was leak like a couple years back where they got the name mostly right and knew you started as a 5th year.
They said the game would take you through the rest of your time at Hogwarts to graduation and then to a job at the ministry of magic.
Now I'm wondering if they meant for this to be a series and it plays out like that because there's no f***ing way they fit all that in this game.
They did have some legit info because they nailed the year you were in and had legacy in the title.
But they got the time period way off.
They said it was after the movies now like 200 years before.
is quidditch gonna be like a lame mini game or some actually cool gameplay?
