Eh they did too much with sm2. Morgan freeman narration, p&p cover, etc
I like the rawness and simplicity of sm1
the issue was that outside of a few songs it barely felt like a savage mode sequel. him and metro should have stuck with the ominous horror tinged sound they developed on runnin, glock in my lap, and many men (which is really the best version of 21 we've gotten up to this point) instead of just making it a general rap album with some occasional darker cuts. it's still a really good album but strays too far away from the identity of the original to be a great sequel.

I’ve seen a few have this point about it not feeing that connected to that original, but I guess I don’t mind that because I wasn’t as attached to that first project as some were?
To me, it was just super solid throughout and had really great production from Metro so I liked it
