Set proper expectations. Don’t set rules for a few, set them for everyone. Be fair. Expect to not be perfect.
Most importantly know your people. Know their motivations, and personality types. Not everyone will receive a message the same way.
i feel u op, im gonna be (formally) starting as a supervisor soon
my game plan is to try and supervise the way i like to be supervised
Yeah
Its alot of responsibility and stress
Alot of communicating with people you’d rather not
Alot of situations where you have to be the bad guy when someone is f***ing up
i always hated my supervisors even if they were nice
Damn realizing this too
When I got promoted to management a few months ago, tbh i didn’t treat anyone or act any different than i already did, but my coworkers understood I was their superior. But I have a good team around me so that helps as well.
How it go

Otherwise just learning and easy going .
The place isn’t busy like at all
None of them are your friends, and they are there to do a job.
It sounds rough but it’s the truth. Once it gets to “relaxed” they will either slack off more or simply not respect your authority.
You can have fun with them and all that as long as everyone remains on task.
Yeah don’t make friends at a job ever
Most of the times something’s gonna severe your friendship and going to work will be iffy
