Stop having alcohol at your house @op

I don’t drink at home alone or anything like that. The people I live with have alcohol in the kitchen and that’s not really my problem. It’s more when I’m out I want to get a drink. I did 90 days sober at the beginning of the year and i got through it even tho I was still going out and such, then drank once to see if I could come back to it. Had a night out then went another 30 days and then last weekend I went out a couple times and now I’m back to being sober. I’m probably going to be fully sober.

never understood the appeal of drinking alone

I don’t really drink alone but socially it’s a crutch for sure

You can! But you have to solve the underlying cause of why you were a problem drinker first. If the problem you were trying to self medicate for isnt resolved, you’ll probably continue to do that.

All of last year I was a problem drinker but now I drink at occasions like birthdays and gatherings. Somewhat easy to taper down when you get into your fitness bag

Was an alcoholic a few years ago and that was the worst I spiraled ever. Now I really barely ever drink even tho I enjoy it. Alcoholism is nooooo joke.
