• a provinciana - very very cheap, big lines if you dont arrive early
• A gina- very good
• Zé da mouraria 2(or 3)- perfect for groups, you need to make a reservation
  -Faz Frio- Near to the bars, very good vibes, good for having a drink outside before hitting the bars
• Papo cheio- very small, order a bitoque for about 10 euros, near the bars too
  -Praia no parque- Restaurant that turns into a club, expensive but worth it if you wanna get some b****es. You can go after dinner in another place just to the club.
• O lutador - amazing place, pretty cheap
• Zanzibar- awesome when the weather is good
  -Ultimo porto - Best fish in Lisbon. Only Open for Lunch, very worth it
• Ramiro - probably the most famous in Lisbon. Amazing Seafood. you have to order a steak sandwich after the seafood
• Cervejaria Real fabrica

Early Drinks(18-22)
Corner- best bar in lisbon, hits mostly thursday nights but fridays and saturdays might be good too, better when its good weather.
near Praia No parque, so good for pre drinks if you're heading there.

Principe Real Garden- theres several places to sit and have a drink, great place

Nightlife in lisbon begins very late, people start hitting the bars around 23:30/00:30

• loucos e sonhadores(bairro alto) - begin here, (near faz frio)this is the bar most portuguese in their 20's go. If you're not enjoying the vibe just start going down the street till you hit bairro alto where there is close to 50 bars

-Tiles(cais sodre)- at around 01 am this place starts to get crowded, the bars around it are cool too.

• Collect- if you wanna sit down in a table, but most bars in Lisbon you just order a drink and go to the street.

Clubs

Lux - is the best by far(electronic music). But it can be hard to get in. it kinda depends on the night too.

Lust- good commercial music club

Jamaica - Nice club too, bring cash

clubs go till 6 am or later but the later you try to get in the harder it will be

if all else fails go tu Urban K wich is still pretty good

still haven’t been to porto though, was supposed to go there with school for a week through an exchange programme but covid ruined everything smh

so at night it gets super cold that you gotta sleep with a hoodie or jacket then it gets super hot and you gotta take it off lol weird

What neighborhood would you recommend to stay in? Seems like alfama , principe real and chicado are popular.

dont stay in alfama, its a tourist trap cool to visit maybe once, principe real and chiado is the best, i prefer principe real, but depending on the house of course.

If you like nightlife i would highly recommend coming during santos, wich is the 2nd week of june. Everybody is on the street eating and drinking.

I’m pulling up in late Feb. (I know..) I’m sure it’ll be dead but looking to just get away from Toronto. Any particular recs then? I saw your list earlier. Thanks for that hoping to come again when it’s warm too.

Thanks for the alfama note! Been looking at principe real and chicado. Would south of jardim da Estrela be a bad call?

Btw: hoping to check out some fado. Should I check out anything in particular or a fado house?

south of jardim da estrela is really close to where i live, nice spot.

im not really a fan of fado, but mesa de frades is good. i would recomend going on a week day and making a reservation.

Just to tell you most fado places are pretty expensive.

yeah brother I’m here rn and no didn’t go to Algarve. I’ll definitely be back when the weather is kinder. It’s been beautiful.
