This just a few but there’s been at least 5-6 instances of a person or team winning something major and then using this song in some capacity to celebrate. Has the song completely transcended the beef at this point?

Yes, it’s a song for winners, only the non-winners(losers) feel some type of way when this triumphant anthem drops

I don't think it will ever sink in to me as real that the defining song of the 2020s is the world's biggest rapper repeatedly calling rapper no. 2 a pedophile over a throwback DJ Mustard beat

It blew my mind when I thought about it for a second. Like, they’re playing a song about calling another nigga a pedophile but using it as a celebration because they won something

That’s so insane to me, it really transcended its original purpose completely

I get what you mean, but the direct pedophile parts aren't even the parts blasted, focused on and repeated

The only people that focus on those few lines of the song (even tho you can say almost the whole song is a pedophile call out), especially at this point, are people still too invested into the beef itself

Not the same way, but kinda like how F*** the Police became a symbol of rebellion in general detaching itself from the very real critique and expose of underreported police brutality in low income neighborhoods - and in that detachment of just being seen as a message for rebellion and independence, it becomes less "offensive" to the general public

Amazing song. I been noticed the European drake stans have already tried using revisionist history to say this a bad song. They’re pathetic

Ngl I think the pedophile part is one of the biggest parts of the song? The A minor part specifically
If you go on the YouTube video it's the most replayed part; it was the loudest part in the Super Bowl performance too

It would be chorus, wop, a minor
