Lowkey now that I think of it, I had a job interview with a bank, hair braided up and long, and I could feel that the prejudice that the interviewer was emitting.

I’m sure it has. I’ve only had one person actually tell me that I have to cut my dreads to get the job. I was like yeah we can stop the interview now.

No but one of my first jobs when I was a teenager (fast food) had the nerve to make me trim my beard everytime it grew because it wasn’t allowed.

One of the main reasons I left. Making people shave their hair for near minimum wage
