The stuff Eminem released since 2014 up until Kamikaze in 2018 was a lot worse than MMLP2 that came out in 2013.
MMLP2 was considered a solid album and better than his previous album Recovery iirc.

pop is still the most popular genre internationally Not really. Even the asian artists are on the hiphop wave and that market is bigger. The thing is that hiphop became so popular that its the "new pop".
Nowadays is totally normal seing a rapper on pop or dancehall/reggeaton records too. Just look at bad bunny, anuel, even american rappers are doing it.

Nothing wrong with you really feeling an artist declined if that's how you really feel. Tbh if anyone has a problem with that, that's their responsibility, not yours.
