Here in the UK, the government (fuck the tories) introduced a furlough system, where the government covers 80% of your paycheck if you cannot go to work due to infection, lockdown etc.
This system has saved a huge amount of jobs in the hospitality and nightlife sector. It still faces huge problems from lack of demand, but it is a valuable lifeline.
My question is, have any state governments done anything similar? Or are you totally dependent on 2 tiny stimulus cheques from Congress.
