Have you ever had Dial-up? I did. From 2000-2007! Much slower time. Technology has progressed so much in the last 5 years! AI is crazy. It will probably define the 2020's. 5G too. All of our devices will interconnect. Maybe we do live in the matrix. Social media and networking is harmful to social structures we have though as humans. I am not a fan of Tik Tok or Facebook.

i remember being so excited i could be on the internet and not have to worry about phone calls coming in kicking me off the internet

and yeah i also agree. i remember growing up and you had to physically choose to log onto the internet and be connected

now you are connected 24/7. really messes with the psyche being constantly connected comparing yourself to others

I can't even count the amount of times I died on Runescape because someone called while I was in the middle of fighting something. It was nice switching over to actual internet but ngl I really missed the dial-up sound. That s*** still makes me nostalgic.
