    If not, you should try it if you like rock at all, their newest album has a grand production style that feels similar to a rock version of MBDTF

    They bend genres and create some gorgeous music in general, but some of the best rock ive heard in 20 years as well.

    posting here because Id like the opinions of people who listen to hip hop mostly

    and a bit of backstory, from what I can tell;
    They started making and posting music in about 2016, and have remained anon until about 2021 or 2022. They wear masks and cover their body in charcoal to hide their tattoos etc, so it took people about 5 years to figure out who they even were.

    It also seems that the albums are a trilogy and all tie in together, so if you like to deep dive into music it will probably be dope to go through their discog and catch the references etc and connect all the dots

    your opinion, but honestly it isnt. The thoughtfulness in lyricism, progression sonically, soundscapes and choices in them, and the way songs start as one thing and become another makes it all feel very reminiscent.

    The scale and production value and care that went into MBDTF is what makes it a piece of music history rather you think so or enjoy it or not. This has that same feel simply because even if a rock band has done this before, it has never been done this well and with this amount of care.
