Yeah I feel that fully, it sucks the tickets nowadays are like minimum $45 for GA at like, CoDA or some crap like that lol

Paris Texas was 35$ with fees tho in 2023 which was pretty dope, but yeah I think I paid like , max 60 for the Uzi carti show before fees? Ever since history opened they kind of set a precedent it so that the entry level price for tickets is like 50$ at almost every venue (except the drake underground, which has surprisingly great sound)

Majid been great both times I saw them, but the rebel show was >>> then the history one imo

thats a good point i didnt really think about the impact history had on the rest of pricing

history is a really nice venue though, i enjoy every concert i see there tbh

but yeah i remember like jid we paid like $30-40/each to be in a balcony booth type thing, now its like $60 just for ga at the phoenix

yeah don't get me wrong, i think history is arguably the best venue in the city, (opera house gotta be the worst, for the bathroom situation alone) and im happy that shows that used to be at rebel are now there tbh (majid jordan setlist was just better there than the history one). i think you can still get relatively cheap tickets sometimes, depends on the artist. and like, fred again in 2022 was 35$ retail but got moved from phoenix to history cause of demand, so its not an inherently bad thing, and its definitely the best managed venue wrt security, line ups, washrooms, in and outs, etc. shows might have just gone up in price w/ inflation and s*** too idk

ive been to opera house once to see mariah the scientist i believe, and i remember going to the bathroom and its the first time i ever saw a dude there with a lineup of like 50 cologne bottles, a tip jar and he was handing out paper towel

never seen that in a bathroom at a venue before lmfaooo
