Aus fam here, just curious how much does an entry level job pay in your neck of the woods

  • Apr 2, 2020

will you not be working an entry level position after you graduate?

    also whats your major

  • Apr 2, 2020

college students always think they're perfectly in control of their futures post-college

and for some, perhaps even many, this is somewhat-to-adequately true

and also for some, definitely many, it's not true

    good luck OP

We should have a career thread to give advice to us dweebs struggling in the entry level world

Apply for jobs you're not qualified all day, go to interviews, learn to sell yourself, eventually get out of your position.

Worth the years youll waste making less than 15$ an hour working 30 hours a week.

Thanks bro. I've always thought about this and I am keen to a lot of s*** and a fast learner. Is it cool to lie on resumes though? Add some years to previous jobs, lie about job titles? Colleges? What you think?

  • SBMike

Why would you hate it? I still don't think you understand what entry level jobs are.

For Example, I am currently a Entry Level Software Engineer meaning I still do what I love, programming creating applications learning all kinds of s*** it's entry level because I have no professional experience with it so instead of me making changes to production level code I make changes in dev environments and senior engineers review and look over it give advice things I should do different if need be and it eventually moves to production environment. Now apply this logic to whatever your career would be from your major... That's it..

if youre working for like google facebook or amazon id want to kms knowing that what i'm doing is just helping them monopolize the world

if its a small company thats cool i guess

Extend duration of prev jobs n exagerate respojnsibilties is normal but a lil risky to jus make up qualifications n jobs u never had

You can make previous jobs sound cooler. Don't lie, or at least don't lie a lot and blatantly.
