BRAVEI can already smell the “YOU CANT OWN CHORDS” cop out from a mile away due to people’s only frame of reference for music theory related to crediting disputes being chords as if chords are the only component of music composition
But the chorus in Good 4 U has not only the same chords but nearly identical: harmonic rhythm, tempo, melodic contour, vocal performance, vocal range, groove, subgenre, sound, and is only one semitone up from Misery Business - all simultaneously
So yes, Paramore and Hayley Williams should absolutely get a credit on this song

thegreatdivineThat's why it's good to use a musicologist after you're done making a song to ensure it doesn't sound too similar with an older song. Sometimes, you'll make a song that sounds similar to a 40 year-old song that you've never heard and if that song blows up enough, you'll get sued to hell.
It's better to figure out if your song(s) sound similar with older songs, ask the writers of that song if they'll want credit and sort that s*** out BEFORE you release the song. It just saves you the headache of dealing with that after because the writers can demand something as crazy as Sting taking 85% of the royalties of Lucid Dreams because it interpolates his 1993 hit, Shape of My Heart.
