they left it completely open through 5 EPs so that im sure youre GUESS was something of any number of things is what really happened and thats why its such a twist.

sometimes you do such a good jjob at making it that nobody knows how itll end and thats how i feel like everybody felt going into the final EP

great show, will def rewatch next year. HBO did it again imo

for example it could be anyone (potential spoilers):

Kidman: has mental/memory lapses that are never explained. has flashbacks to weird nudes in the girls studio and seems to have relationship with dead girl

kidman's dad: they showed scenes of him looking into dead girls apartment window at night on his own, clearly never approved of her marriage with hugh grant and seemed to be plotting on breaking family apart. Also tons of money to get out of s***

Sylvia (lawyer bff): hid things from kidman like how she defended hugh in work lawsuit secretly. Seemed to have a bunch of info/dislike for the dead girl in first EPs and hugh mentioned he had 1 other affair

Hugh: obviously on trial, we find more about his past with his family and seemingly 2 different people and a potential sociopath

Son: obsessed with the trial, has the weapon hidden, just wants them to be a family and will do whatever it takes to keep family together including keeping secrets (also could be a sociopath like dad)

you could literally pin it on/predict every character was the real murderer and thats what makes this a twist, no matter who they made it be everybody i know who watched it had a specific person/reason why they thought it was somebody.

so are we all under the assumption that the other woman Hugh messed with is Nicole's friend? maybe resulting in her daughter being a half sister to Nicole's son

Hated the ending, I mean I get it, we expected a twist so the twist is there’s no twist, but still underwhelming

Also kind of left some unanswered questions. I’m surprised that the finale didn’t show us more of Kidman walking that night
