Nate gave him half a mill and now he wants like a million . Crazy interest and if Nate does he can probably just steal his s***. He broke into his house
What does Nate have within the house that would amount to $1mm. Hw couldn’t literally get the house, however, the house is likely worth several millions. Overall though, I see the play. He’s never getting out the debt because Naz will continue to move the goal posts.
Mob tactics have to be the most idiotic thing I’ve heard of “I want you to pay me interest to insure this happens I’m going to maim you and make it harder for me to get my money back” literal rețards
I think your lacking the basic fundamentals.
The banks weren’t approving Nate the loan amount he required.
He got a loan from a loan shark Naz who offered him a loan without legal paperwork because if you do it legally you have to go through taxes and there’s an Intrest limit.
So he can give Nate a loan and charge hike how much interest he wants if Nate agrees
Also if you go through legally you need to source where u got the money from and it’s likely naz gets money illegally.
Not to completely be a d***head, but your vs. *you’re here is ironic. Your point about the fundamentals is correct. I think I missed where Nate actually got the loan from Naz.
My point is, by taking the “loan,” Nate is f***ed regardless. The money he received WILL show up likely on his taxes. He can’t explain that away. By putting the money into the business, he’s exposed himself to civil, and criminal liability. Nate’s gonna snitch on Naz. On the flip side, Naz sucks Nate dry, or/then kills him. If Nate kills Naz, the loan problem still exists.

Bro could have an amazing career if he stuck entirely to directing. His mediocre writing holding him down bad
Garbage episode. Worst of the season.
The poker scene was great, I wish I knew what the cards meant. My inference following the scene is that Bishop is a cop.
Outside of Alamo and Laurie’s interactions, Rue’s story sucks. Surprising she’d be offered an informant role when the detectives saw first hand she can’t lie. I’m also buying into the idea that she’ll die by the end of the show.
Rosalia’s character sucks.
Jules and Lexi add nothing to the show. The paintings of d***s….why?
I think Maddie and Nate will be together again assuming he doesn’t die first. I hope Nate begins to act like himself again too. His treatment this season makes no sense. Hard to take enjoyment in his follies because he’s not the same guy anymore.
Why does Nate owe dude money to begin with? Was he an investor?
Kitty’s purpose in the show?
By what episode will Cassie put up the for sale sign? Does Maddie later lose her job because of this?
As someone who plays poker pretty seriously… not sure how much you know about poker and you’re asking for specific poker details or asking about the metaphor of the situation but I’ll give my opinion of both…
Bishop flopped the nuts here. His hand was unbeatable at the moment after the first 3 cards came out. He bets and Rue calls with an okay hand, most poker players would call as well in this spot but she is WAY behind. She has a 9% chance of winning the hand at this point. Then the turn comes, the 4th card, which is a 4 which doesn’t change much, Bishop still has the nuts and Rue’s odds to win the hand drop to 5%, she needs 1 of the 2 7’s left in the deck… Bishop bets again and Rue calls… still pretty standard at this point… then the river 7 comes. The only card that could’ve won her the hand and gives her the nuts, a hand that can’t beaten by any other hand and Bishop has the 3rd nuts… he only loses to 77 and 76… Bishop checks instead of betting which isn’t that common but could be viewed as a trap in this situation trying to get Rue to bet and she does and he snap calls immediately only to find out Rue hit the 5% chance to beat him.
This is actually one of the more realistic poker scenes I’ve seen in a movie/show in a long time.
As for the metaphor part… the obvious one is Rue is getting by on the skin of her teeth only to pull something out of her ass at the very end to come out ahead
Time to pregame
I’m not seeing where the racial stuff is all that bad, but I mean Sam’s dad was an executive producer on Oz (Alamo being a Mai antagonist) and that is probably the most racism I’ve seen in a tv show so maybe that’s why this feels lite to me
i’ve never seen Oz but i’ve heard a lot of good things about it. based on its premise, i’m assuming the racism was played in ways that felt accurate to the tone of the show.
that’s not the case with Euphoria S3. in S1-2, the show never addressed race at all. when we met Laurie in S2, there was nothing to suggest she and her crew were Nazis. this shift started in 3. i didn’t mind it at first. the scenes in episode 2 where Laurie’s dude dropped the hard R and Angel called Alamo’s crew niggas played as realistic to me.
but at this point, there’s heavy racism in every single episode and none of it fleshes out the story or Rue’s character. it’s one thing for her to be forced into being a d*** mule to a bunch of overlords. but it’s a whole other thing to her to be a nigga forced into working for proud white supremacists. despite her being the show’s protagonist and narrator, that aspect of her situation is never really addressed from her POV, not even in a throwaway line
that’s lazy as hell to me. Sam went from never making race an overt topic to seemingly throwing racism into every script just for the sake of it. there’s no real point being made. none of it adds to anybody’s character or the storyline as a whole, which is why it bothers me
still would have ended in the same position or worse
only thing they had on her was a possession charge until she started squealing
all those years of being a lying, manipulating addict, then working for a crime lord, and she don’t even know the basics of how to handle an interrogation??
nah she lost me w this one. hope she redeems herself tonight and in the weeks ahead cuz i can’t root for someone that dumb
How anyone can walk away from this thinking Sydney is the best actress in this over Zendaya is actually insane
yeah Zendaya is carrying ts
Rue’s storyline fell off hard and it’s obvious she’s over this show as a whole. but she is still whatever the show needs her to be whenever they need her to be it, no matter how ridiculous. a true thespian
Sydney is second best tho

Very valid take honestly. I feel like the entire switch up of the shows dynamic for season 3 they just decided to include things not realizing it didn’t really match with past themes. It’s definitely overkill when you look at it from that perspective. But I also think Sam is mediocre as hell too so I don’t expect much from him. It’s almost like he went directly from the Oz playbook where you hear slurs you didn’t even know existed every few minutes
