The fact that she was present at all, I guess. Tension was there. It's a story line and relationship I'm invested in. Wasn't anything major but gave me just enough to want to see what happens next.

Nah it's shown in the preview for the next episode that it's some random old white guy. Apparently the storyline with Nate and Cassie in s2 was supposed to be with Jules but the actors had drama behind the scenes so they changed it. That's why Nate and Jules don't have any story together after s1
