at this point the smartest thing for them to do would be to continue on with a new generation led by Gia / Storm Reid and examine how Rue’s addiction affects her long term
5 year time jump is.. okay.. how many people from high school do you realistically stay in touch with lol

A time jump would make the most sense at this point. The high school setting was necessary only for the first season because of Jules’ storyline. But now they can age up the characters and take them out of the school setting

My only thought about a time jump is that most of the characters will probably have moved away by then, so will we just not see these characters really interacting with each other anymore?

Yeah that’s the only thing i’m concerned about tbh, they would need to find a way to make them all interact in a way that still feels somewhat realistic, 5 years is a long time, especially for ppl coming out of high school
