This episode was good but I just feel like it was all over the place both structurally and narratively
The visuals and character work are great but it feels at some points like this season is meandering and spiraling without any real sense of direction
It feels since the artistry of the show was so praised in the first season, they focused on it and tried to step it up. It feels like S1 was more narrative driven and had better writing, but I've still enjoyed this season. It just seems like there's 5 real scenes that actually drive the story and the rest is just for show.
Also, saw someone else say this as well, but it feels like this show is veering into overly self indulgent pretentiousness territory
y’all think everything that’s looks “artsy” is pretentious. enough

Season 1 was extremely artsy as well and I wouldn’t call anything in that season pretentious. Like @DeKobe said, it feels like this season there’s been 5 scenes that have actually driven the story forward whereas everything else has been gorgeous visuals / montages that have been mostly for show
Cassie is a R word
Just now getting 15 mins in and suddenly I feel sorry for Nate ?
Eric Dane (Cal) needs an Emmy for this episode.
Him and Sydney Sweeney were fantastic in this one
