i'm actually seeing a lot of criticism about Rue's mom and not being aware her daughter relapsed, is doing d**** in her household, etc etc

so Rue can be the most clever, conniving d*** addict who isn't even home more than half the time, and duping pretty much all of the people in her life. but when an alcoholic mother picks up on another addict in withdrawal, suddenly Rue's mom is a blind piece of s***. lmao idk

we see how Rue reacts when she's even questioned about anything. her mother isn't dumb but she's a mother, who probably desperately wants to believe her child is getting better. so wanting to put some trust and faith into her child isn't being a "shitty mother." pleading with her to get treatment/go to rehab isn't being a "shitty mother." kicking her ass out on the street would've been a different story.

plus the b**** knows that rue was shoveling them d**** into her own body and she probably came up off that 2k a whole different way (the obvious stolen jewelry) so yeah it's not like she saw rue as a trustworthy client and business partner. lol

Like this was a good episode to have, you know. You gotta show the effects of d**** on people and yada yada yada, like, you gotta show the real life side effects. I get it. But god damn, the execution of that idea was mediocre.

Like what was that Charlie Chaplin ass chase scene with the cops. These cops couldn't catch a teenage girl who was going through crazy withdrawals and could barely run as it is. And to top it off she was hiding in the trash can all along?

yeah the episode got a little ridiculous in the second half but the first half was so good I ignored it

Yea the cop scenes were over the top stupid. Didn't even shoot once. Also how she escape them couple's house easy even after getting out and limping. But the rest of the show was fire

Rue was pushing a 10 sec 40yd dash nd they still couldn’t catch her. The cop scene was the worst of the ep due to execution. That or rue just “slipping out” of Cassie’s crib
