That was one of the best written pieces of television I’ve seen all year.
My god Zendaya and Colman Domingo both came through with great performances. I actually got a little emotional a couple of time there.
This was the best thing they could’ve done outside of Season 2.
I hope part 2 is something similar man.
And it being shot on film

Finally got around to watching it after my rewatch, and you said it perfectly word for word.
Amazing stuff
Colman Domingo, what a f***ing name might I add, was f***ing excellent. Really good episode, was a nice change of pace compared to season 1.
man this s*** was sad/heavy af
prolly cause I been a d*** addict for 15 years now but man s*** had me in tears ngl
worst part about it is after the episode ends what do I do? Pop a pill smh.
don’t worry tho I’m in the process of tapering off these s***s.
There's so much I could say about that episode, but I'll just settle for calling it incredible.
Whenever a show takes time to dig into the psyche of a character like that it almost ALWAYS hits hard.
i enjoyed it seeing it again, but i believe this highlights the weakness of the show... Sam Levinson writing.
Sam Levinson excels whenever it comes to dealing with addicts, d*** abusers, and depression aka rue, but euphoria looks kind of uneven when they switch focus to the other characters. i know this show is supposed to be a zendeya vehicle, but she's not the best actor on the show, nor is rue the best character tbh. My biggest fear for season 1 is that sam give rue even more of a focus tbh/
That special just shows how Marijuana isn’t a damn gatetway d*** or even a f***ing d***.
None of that s*** they was talmin bout will be caused by f***ing weed
marijuana is def a gateway d***.. will everyone who smokes weed end up moving on to harder d****? No
But it def makes it a lot easier to get into harder d**** if you’re already smoking weed. if you’ve already tried weed and enjoy it then you prolly have less fear of trying other d****.
I don’t think I’ve met a single hard d*** user irl who didn’t smoke weed before doing hard d****. It’s rare for ppl to just go straight to coke/heroin/meth for their first d*** tbh.

100%
my boy started out smoking weed “for fun” and ended up doing coke, lsd, x****, molly & dmt

this was the best written episode though
whole episode would be trash if it was poorly written, it's not easy to make a 53 minute episode entertaining/gripping that's hinged upon back and forth conversation--but Sam did, and exceled in it, easily his best piece of writing thus far. to each their own though.

"this was the best written episode though"

episode 4 is clearly the best episode of the series

Not true
Saving myself until I NEED new euphoria, I mean I have since the end of season 1 but once I get that craving I’m cashing in on these

This show is too f***ing good man. Rewatching and everything is just so tight. I’m also quickly being reminded how good the camera work is. It has just the right amount of flair without being too much
The part when we got to hear from the waitress, the whole time she was speaking and on camera, it felt so much like I was watching a documentary.
Like I can’t put my finger on why but it just felt so real. It’s like her voice cut straight through to me as if I was listening to someone actually speak about their lived experience and truth. I wouldn’t be surprised one bit if that was actually the case with that actor.
Idk, that whole part of the episode just gave me chills
