He’s not necessarily gay, but the show alludes to him struggling with same s***attraction due to how he was introduced to it through his dad’s s***. The s*** on his phone. Being on the gay app. Undertones with Tyler. That sus s*** he was saying/doing S2E1 to McKay at the party which tbh bordered on flirting. His difficulty getting it up when he was trying to f*** Maddy that one episode in season 1. Not wanting to look at junk to avoid being turned on. Etc.
The d*** pics on his phone was to send to Jules, he was on the gay app to get to Jules. He knows she's on there because he knows that's how his dad meets the men he f***s.
Tyler was another episode his over possessive control over the women he likes, he sees himself as some protector of the women he likes in a f***ed up way. Hence him going crazy about McKay showing up after he got with Cassie (Nate never acted that way to McKay before he got with Cassie). Hence his little speech to Rue. Hence him acting as a savior to Jules with the disc. And finally, him trying to get his dad out the house away from his mother.
That has been his persistent character trait, not that he's struggling with his sexuality.
And he doesn't want to look at junk because it reminds him of his dad. That's why he freaked out at the sexual dream of him and his dad. He really struggles with the fact that his dad is gay (or bi because in his rant he claimed to have f***ed many women).
The show hasn't given any indication that there was a guy Nate has liked, or that he was gay. Rue's narration has repeatedly only stated he's in love with Maddy or Cassie or Jules.
Tbh, I blame Sam Levinson for the confusion though, man has really good ideas but I don't know why he doesn't get a writing team to help him keep his ideas focused. Nate could have been a much more impressive character and he's handled his story line so poorly.

Was i the only one who felt bad for him after that episode? Everybody seems to be like "yeah he deserved that!" Im like "no he didnt" . Dude system of value keeps getting s***ted on for an entire season, he got beat up, his father treated him like s*** and now this?
It felt weird have him still being the butt of the joke.
People are discovering that Alexa Demie used to make music:

Literally. Then he put it to his own head & actually played Russian roulette I'm an effort to extract info from ol girl
Niggas bugging itt technical insitute
Just so he can look like a decent human being to a girl who was about to silt his throat if he got out of pocket which he had just got back from doing
McKay really got f***ed over this season man
only like 2 minutes of screen time wtf man
prayers up to the short king

Well technically he knew the chamber was empty so he wasn’t risking s***
and also he unloads the bullets right in front of Maddy’s face how did she not notice him doing that?

cro it's the principle
After watching some of her previous work
I see how the actress for Faye got an acting gig

he really shouldn’t be hanging with high schoolers anymore due to his current situation. That first episode was good enough to send him goodbye. Cassie broke it off with him & Nate was being super weird (besides f***ing his ex). He should have 0 ties to that social circle after that party
Hell his little brothers should of been here more so since they’re around Gia’s age & know Kat
BUT it could of been brought up the whole “how would you feel if I was f***ing McKay”

I also felt bad for him, like no doubt he's a piece of s*** but you can see why he does what he does. Maddy is unstable, as f*** and would have definitely ruined his life + future just because of some high school drama. He knew that there was literally no way of reasoning with her. The way he chose to deal with that information was borderline psychopathic but still, we were aware enough of where he was coming from to begin with.
I'm not fully on the "woe is Nate" side but also making him and his supposed inability to deal with his sexuality the solution for all the girls troubles is such a lazy cop out imo. It also lessens the "brilliance" of Lexi's observer powers. Like is this really the place her genius mind arrived to once she sat down and really a***yzed the behavior of her inner circle?
If this is a build up to her being misinformed about everything and being self-important about her observations then I will gladly eat humble pie. If not this is just another nail in coffin of this seasons quality.
Look I know mans had a f***ed up childhood...
But f*** Nate Jacobs. He has been a f***boi since season 1 episode 1.
Mans ran Jules off the road with his truck in the very first scene he is in
Idk man last episode I had to suspend my disbelief a lot. The play was pure fantasy and over the top in a way other episodes haven’t been.
Surprised that EVERYONE made it to the play on time (except fez) even d***ged up Rue who should be EVEN DEEPER in her addiction now that she has had her tolerance blown wide open with morphine. Also she lost the suitcase of d**** and everything’s cool now (sort of like when fez lil bro hammered that dude that was working for them and everything was cool.) maybe one of the chains Rue stole from that house was worth exactly the amount the d**** were worth.

I mean of course the play was over the top, thats what theater is tbh
Rue already told her fam she was gonna try and stay clean. We saw her dealing with withdrawals in the previous episode
It's too soon to know if things are cool regarding Laurie, im sure she is gonna be looking for Rue still. And Laurie said she isn't a pawn shop so she won't accept the stolen jewelry
And Custer def still remembers what they did to him and Mouse, and I think thats one of the reasons he is working with police
It's missing 28 mins @samlevinson
This isn't a pawn shop
