Same. Don’t think I ever thought about her much during S1 airing but on my recent rewatch she kinda was one of my favorites. Was hoping this would happen there’s a lot to work with there

And I feel like she’s much more relatable than a lot of the cast.

She seemed so normal compared to all of the others so this bigger role will be interesting

she grounds the show in a great way. especially her watching fez at the end. like we all wanted what happened to happen, but just adding her watching on added so much depth to that scene

The thing is tho, crazy s*** doesn’t always happen. Season 1 was 8 episodes and took 4-5 months of in show time
So like 2 incidents a month.
Also, a lot of the “crazy” s*** comes from the same characters Fez & Nate. But if you ever have known dudes in real life that do dumb/crazy s***, you know that they get into stuff like that all the time until they either end up dead, in jail, or move away
They rarely stay in the area and also change their ways , in my experience

The other characters don’t really do much crazy/unrealistic s*** imo

i grew up in an affluent part of miami my school had a population of 5k+ so i understand i had a drastically different experience than 90% of high schoolers

Yea I agree with that but that isn’t the dynamic in the show. Ppl are just running with that and are wrong. idk why people are saying McKay is a sophomore now and not also saying Cassie is a senior now

If McKay aged a year then so did Cassie

But neither of them did, bc McKay is still a college freshman. In the show, it is New Years which means they are all in the same grade as when season 1 started

Y’all gotta realize that McKay could be 18 and Cassie literally be 17
Idk if there’s a wiki with everyone in show ages but
As a junior, you usually start off 16 then turn 17
Then as a senior you’re usually start the school year 17 then turn 18
As a freshman in college you are 18 then turn 19

McKay could still be 18 and Cassie be 17
No matter how you slice it, I don’t think it’s weird. I feel like the show could’ve explored moreso the struggle for McKay to stop being involved in HS s*** just cause of his girl and start to grow up. Bc we all know guys that kinda stick onto their HS friends/persona after graduating

Edit: another thing with it being New Year’s, College students usually go back to their home town. So it kinda makes sense why McKay is there but they didn’t say it in episode

The success of the show they probably able to pay less bc they lowkey putting a spotlight on the songs

And Lexi is Cassie’s younger sister. Cassie is an 18 year old senior, Lexi is a 17 year old junior
