scared to enjoy a GoT property ever again
Apparently the main dude behind this is a big ASOIAF nerd and a friend of GRRM so I have some hope
“200 years before the fall of the throne”
Are they referring to when drogon burnt the throne? Meh, the throne didn’t really fall. Bran became king. It’s not like they stopped having a king. They probably built a new throne.
And the targs had already lost the throne before this when Robert took over
This teaser already reminds me of bad writing by using that feed-in line lol. Like I don’t even know what it’s referring to

The Iron Throne is around 300 years old

Drogon melted the throne down and there are no 7 kingdoms anymore. Sounds fallen to me.

Drogon didn't forge it, he melted it

correct me if I'm wrong on this summary. at the end of GOT:
-Bran is the king of 6 kingdoms and uses his super powers to know everything so all courts and rulings are done with all-knowing omnipotence instead of by a human.
-the north is independent so they don't fall under the wizard king's rule.
-the throne was physically destroyed
-what chair brain sits on now is TBD
-theoretically the melting of the throne symbolizes the end of the system where the kingship passes on to his kin. when bran dies (whether via homicide or through natural death which might take hundreds of years) theoretically there would be another council vote to appoint the new king.
those are the facts.
my take on the future: Bran the super hero king will cause a lot of people to hate him. people don't take kindly to magic, let alone the whole realm being ruled by a wizard. many assassination attempts will come. Bran will have to deflect/prevent them using his super powers. he will spend most of his time creeping on everyone to prevent his own death.

Probably but his power is that he can see everything so good luck pulling some sneaky s*** behind his back lol. Plus he has Brienne leading his kingsguard and Tyrion as his hand. It's gonna be really hard to kill him.
Ending was still f***tarded though

Whoever kills bran and restores the throne is the real hero. I personally don’t want a wizard king. It’s like that movie minority report with precogs and s***. Bran has a hold of himself now, but we’re talking about a fallible human who has been given god like abilities. I’m not sure it’s a sustainable situation.
And imagine you’re some scoundrel who pulls off the perfect crime only to be arrested because the wizard king sees all. I mean how many rapes and murders and crimes is bran going to prosecute using his visions as the only evidence?
Please just finish those damn books, George
I’ve given up all hope at this point
at least we get elden ring

Exactly fuc da bullshit where the books at?
He said he had the end mapped out and Dumb and Dumber through it out and deviated from it
If he has had the end mapped out since 2011 why doesn’t he go ahead and finish the books
He also doesn’t seem like the type to let other people finish writing his s*** when he’s dead so we’ll be left in purgatory

Why do you keep calling him a wizard lmao
He can’t actually do any magic. He can see the past and warg. That’s it.
Which book should I read before watching this?

Whatever same thing. He has magical powers.

This show is based on the book Fire and Blood

At least its back to having published source material from GRRM to adapt from. Having an actual book to pull from automatically secured the their quality in the past
