Yeah but she is jealous and hates rhaenyra. She had to put up with all the duties of being a pawn to her father’s ambitions, had to marry and have s***with the king who she hates all while rhae gets to do whatever she wants and not suffer any consequences. Plus her fathers paranoia about her kids getting killed if rhae becomes queen made her paranoid.

Yeah the more I thought about the show I understand both women’s motivation and how the society they’re in shaped them but I feel like the show hasn’t done a great job of showcasing it because of the time skips. Feels like I’m watching wiki summaries.

They’d have to move well beyond the book timeline to do that. I remember when Fire & Blood first came out, GRMM mentioned how he wanted to release a part 2 that would cover the events from the end of the first book book to the start of Game of Thrones. But that’s almost certainly not going to be happening. Even though the show is great idk how people would respond to the writers going beyond the source material given what happened with GOT.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they go farther back and give us Aegon’s conquest. I think they’ve toyed with the idea of this show sorta being an anthology
