I love how some people are distributing hate to Alicent and cole but none to rhaenyra 😂. All these characters are reasonably flaw but people give rhaenyra the biggest pass
Yeah Rhaenyra lowkey destroyed the strong fam being a hoe
i found the time jump to be extremely jarring in this last episode.
there should have been 1 transitional episode before doing the 10 year jump.
there was no time given for the wedding episode's ending to soak in.
i also am not a fan of what they are doing with Daemon's character. 2 episodes back he literally killed his first wife, now he's like a family man?
also they really rushed the story with The Hand's cripple son.
overall i think a lot of these issues are due to the massive time jumps. it feels extremely rushed as you don't get time with characters and see them grow. you have to assume the growth.
could agree larys needed a bit more backstory/time in previous episodes. he kinda came outta nowhere slightly.
Is there a reason why leanor wouldn’t knock her up at least once lol
Maybe his d*** wont get up
He's a completely different character compared to ep 5. He's pouring over books and domesticated.
He's super unpredictable in general from scene to scene tho
You never know when he pulls up if he's gonna be a charming s*** talker or a creepy silent socio path dude the definition of a wild card

Yeah but for the throne at least lol
The constant time jumps are a mistake, especially with how big they getting. It feels like it happens at total random and just skips over what the previous episode is building towards only to basically start over with a whole new set of issues
I disagree, I think the scenes they have chose to show before and after jumps do such a good job of showing of showing the relationship changes between these characters that you can almost imagine all the small mundane events that happen in between to cause such shifts in these characters/relationships.
To me when a jump happens at first it feels out of place and you feel like you missed what happened right after the last scene before a jump. But after you get a couple of scenes with the older characters, it’s almost like I can imagine what did happen in that missed time, I am actually really liking it.

Yea the time jumps have been getting a lot of hate, but I really feel like the showrunners have done a really great job with it
We've only seen 1 episode with Rhaenyra and Alicent's children, but I'm already invested in their dynamics among each other

Asking you, as a book reader at this pace are they basically looking at doing the whole show in 1 or 2 seasons?

The plan right now is 3-4 seasons

Nope, they are doing at least 3 seasons. 4 at the most

Do you think there will be time jumps throughout the whole series or just first season for set up?

Just the 1st season. I believe we are getting just 1 more time jump this season, and then we'll be caught up
For some reason fan pages keep saying Henry Cavil & Elizabeth Olsen are rumored to be casted in next season but that sounds like cap
unpopular opinion but older rhaenyra is hotter than older Alicent, opposite is true for younger versions

if they decide to eventually do aegon's conquest and cast him as aegon

cavil is reserved for bobby b imo
Are they just gonna continue this show after dance of the dragons as an anthology series? Like we see every king down to the mad king? Could even do the Blackfyre rebellion s***
