i don't hate the change, but it does complicate some plot points.... like wtf is seasmoke gonna do now? follow laenor to essos? that would look very suspicious. and he can't bond with another rider as long as laenor lives either.
i hope the writers don't p**** out of showing team black doing horrible s*** during the war tho. after all this talk about "everyone is grey! both sides are ruthless and cruel!" it would be really silly to not actually show this cruelty to it's full extent.
