kalilou know viseys’s lego set right? it’s supposed to portray old valyria, this long gone place that both targaryens and velaryons ascend from.
valyria was a massive slave empire in it’s heyday, and the ruling dragonlords practised dark magic, blood sacrifices and procreated with dragons to be able to control them ("blood of the dragon" is not just a metaphor)
then the doom happened, causing the destruction of valyria and everyone in there. poisonous gas, earthquakes, tsunamis, massive volcanic eruptions, everything at once. it was like nature itself was rejecting this place.
the velaryons got away since they’re seafarers, while the targaryens escaped bcoz they knew it would happen thanks to daenys the dreamer.

Idk I'm happy that Laenor lived but it sort of felt like it made Rhaenyra and Daemon the good guys too much . And like if we really never see dude again it gave him an uncharacteristic happy ending
even tho I wanted it it feels wrong I think the show will build both sympathy on both sides at times and crash it down.
Without spoiling anything, I think one you realise during the entire Dance of Dragons is that both sides are very dislikable.

There was one Targ chick who got pregnant from something in Valyria and she literally melted to death from the inside. It's strongly suggested they were into some weird human surrogate/sacrifice type stuff with dragons over there.

Lol probably just hearsay since dragons are asexual in this show and produce eggs on their own. Makes more sense if they used blood magic rituals to bind their blood with existing dragon eggs at the time or even created dragons themselves with some dark magic gene mutation from already existing beasts/reptiles at the time

ngl they've really done the velaryons dirty. especially laena.
as cool as the scene of aemond claiming vhagar was, i can't believe they cut a scene of laena doing the same before the 10 year time skip. like did we REALLY need an entire episode dedicated to rhaenyra hoeing around when we could've seen teen laena bond with a wild vhagar instead?
and then the change to make it seem like daemon never loved her?? and that he straight up doesn't give af about his kids by her??? not saying he's a standup guy, but the show is really overselling his "love" for rhaenyra at the expense of his own daughters.
at least rhaena and baela will play a bigger role moving forward
