And in the final season we see Aerys Targaryen wildin out and burning all his enemies
We get to see him going through extreme paranoia and letting his nails and grow long af. Make it happen
Doubt it gets that far down the timeline
Dance of dragons happens well before the mad king. There’s plenty of other crazy targs tho
whew

Well that's fine as long as we get to see Aegon's Conquest
Prequels are always weird to me. Knowing how it all ends really ruins it for me. Especially for GOT.

So after you read a book, you dont like watching the movie that's based on that book ?

Is it a prequel? I still haven’t watched it, looked good and only heard great things from other people but idk.

Lol that’s not really a prequel it’s just an adaptation of the book. For example I though the Star Wars Han movie was meh and uninteresting.

Yeah, it's a prequel made by the same creative team of Breaking Bad. It's slower than BB but the quality remains!

Nah I'm not sayin adaptations are prequels. But you were sayin how knowing the end ruins it for you, so I figured you felt the same about knowing what happens already when you watch a book adaptation

Yup. I don’t think ppl realize how massive this show will be. With HBO merging with Warner they are going to pump crazy funds into this show. I’m talking marvel movie type budgets per season bc it will be their crown jewel.
Seeing Aegon II riding Sunfyre

Oh my mistake I see what you’re saying. Tbh I’ve never read a book and than see it become a movie afterwards. That really hasn’t happened in awhile, to my knowledge or I just can’t think of a book series that became a movie or show. Artemis fowl might be the first book I’ve read become a movie so we’ll see than.
The greatness of GOT early seasons was that anyone could die it was really the first show I actually believed it. The prequels not having that is going to be interesting to see how people enjoy it.

Yep the budget is about to be insaneeee. HBO doesnt have to worry about spending the budget on White Walkers and Direwolves so I'm sure the dragons in this show will look wayyyy better than in GOT

Just remember that GOT was based off books that GRRM started releasing in 1996, so millions of book fans already knew what was gonna happen for several seasons. At the end of the day, it's all about how they present the story. As long as we get great writing and acting, I'm fine with getting a prequel

Yeah but I think majority of the people who started watching the show had never read the books and probably didn’t. That show became mainstream like marvel movies, it was unavoidable.

The red wedding scene was known about for years and was literally anticipated from the moment the show was created. it still ended up being one of the biggest moments in TV history
I think they’ll be fine

Yes by people who read the books. I’m not talking about them. Good point though.
If they starting with the conquest they will have to have new actors coming in every season for the time jumps
