    Mr Motion

Definitely need a show that takes place after the events of GOT.

F*** that we need Roberts Rebellion

yea just send your ten year old heir who you know your enemies want to kill to deliver a scroll to a guy whose loyalty you're unsure of

possibly short sighted, but I guess their thought process was that if the Greens were going to be out sailing/flying, they'd be doing so upon Dragonstone. They certainly seemed to have an aura of that

we also just don't know how much time elapsed in this episode. it's more reasonable to think they'd have time to politicize unimpeded if this was all back to back. if it was over months, looks a lil bit dumber

luke’s definitely older than 14 by now, which in westeros makes him a grown man

14 y/o robb was commanding armies and winning battles while 9 y/o bran was running winterfell as a crippled

these kids are just not allowed to be kids for very long

my take is that aemond WANTED to murder luke on a visceral/instinctive level but also knew that he shouldn’t because it would destabalize everything, start a full atomic war and effectively brand him as a kinslayer (the worst thing you can be in westeros) for life

however vhagar, who is bonded to aemond, would only understand his most primal emotions and none of the propriety and decency that humans abide by

meemaw felt aemond’s hate and rage and took matters into her own hands

    Bingo

Daemon sends assassins to kill one of the king's children. They make their mother choose which son has to die, then kill the one she didn't choose. The event is called Blood & Cheese

    Oh s***ttttttt

that's how I felt too. I'm not sure if they have an emotional bond like that bc of the aforementioned reasons of him not being the OG owner of the dragon, BUT bond between dragon and rider was a huge part of this episode from the v beginning with Rhaenyra and hers, so its possible

I get sending the other son cause he was showing that he was ready but not the lil kid who just told his mom he didn't want this life

they made some weird choices with which actors to switch out at which age

cause they all seemed around the same age as kids but then they turned Aemond into a grown man and left the other two early teenagers lol

But it would have worked if he was first or at least made it out alive

just seemed like strategically the stupidest thing you could do. Baratheon dude could've easily kidnapped him

no good coulda came from sending him, not like that little kid or his baby dragon was going to sway anybody

Baratheon kidnapping him would be pointless. He would be ash the next day

when aemond loses his eye in the book vhagar ROARS in pain so loudly it wakes everyone, and that was just after they had first met

the show instead gave this scene to rhaenyra and syrax when she miscarried, but i think it tracks that this emotional/mental bond applies to all dragonriders

I heard that Lucarys death is different than the shows. Anyone care to expand on this?

The book makes it sound deliberate but its all told through spectators POV so no one really knows if Aemond meant to do it or not
