Yea idk. Seems some people are mad about Daemon putting his hands on Rhaenyra and others are mad that the Aemond scene was somewhat of an accident and he isn’t pure evil.
In the show, Daemon has ALWAYS been a piece of s*** psycho. Bro killed his first wife by bashing her skull with a rock. F*** that mf.
A lot of the wild dragons spend time near the ocean so maybe they go whale hunting
Otherwise you'd pretty much need entire farms dedicated to constantly pumping out livestock just for the dragons
Going whale hunting is CRAZY. Like imagine being a big ass whale your whole life and then all of a sudden something is lifting you out of the ocean
i actually think the show has been very charitable in their interpretation of daemon. instead of making him a straight up pedophile child molester like his book counterpart, they aged rhaenyra up and made her more assertive.
they’ve given him plenty badass and heroic moments too, and made his relationship with viserys one of genuine brotherly love. he also has the most dragon scenes by far.
tbh aegon is the only character that the writers deliberately chose the least charitable interpretation for; a sleazy pathetic self-pitying rapist + no sunfyre. still a very fun and entertaining character tho.
Daemon character is still complicated to me. He super violent and got some emotional probs fr but he still loves his fam. I think being a Targaryen means there a decent chance u gonna have psycho tendencies. With the violence we seen him capable of and gonna need to be capable of, it seem realistic he gonna be a super flawed partner n dad to me. It's natural some of that would carry over to his personal life.
I feel people more on Rhaenyra being a lil whitewashed tho but if it all lead up to this final scene where looks like she snapped im cool with it
Btw I'm not starting a Daemon fan club im just saying all Targs being pos in some or alot of ways is realistic to me
And this episode was leaked days ahead. Numbers wouldve been even higher if not for that

That’s why I love that Aemond scene, it goes against the “lore” and history. so we never really know how s*** went down until we see it for ourselves.
Me watching them train on the beach: f*** them Strong kids bout to get killed

You could see the immense fear in Lucerys eyes when he saw Aemond
He was about to take off and start running
Ngl I think the finale was kinda corny
i thought this for a lot of small parts in this show

What parts did you feel were corny
Idk if the book makes the secondary characters and pre-time skip characters feel as ancillary as they are in the show, but you would like to have seen more Harwin, more Vaemond, more of a lot of characters independent of whatever Targaryen they were interacting with
That’s the one thing that GoT did perfectly, give everyone their own relevancy outside of the war of the 5 kings. And if the book doesn’t have those moments for those characters, that’s fine too
Edit: I also recognize this is all a story telling of Targaryen history, and not a story that’s depicting a whole world, like Ice and Fire. I’m sure that’s a massive perspective in who’s story is being told
All these characters were expanded upon in the show. Even as little as it may seem, it was less in the book

Why rhaenerya sending her weak ass sons to potential enemies to remind them of their oath with no secruity
Then the aemond scene is weird like why he feeling guilty now

Because he wasnt trying to kill him lol. And he knows that he started the war because he killed him

Man’s was tryna take his eye , thought about briefly getting rid of his own brother to be king and chased down lucerys with a dragon 10x bigger and he didn’t think of killing him
