Issue with blowing up with a story based on your experience is the question of are you really a creative with good ideas or did you just have some crazy s*** happen to you
Might be able to continue as just an actor tho

yeah the only thing that’s been consistently praised from the reviews I’ve seen are the acting.
based on what I’m reading it doesn’t sound like the dude is a bad writer necessarily, just very one-note. like I already thought Baby Reindeer, while well-written and well-made, was a difficult watch. and it sounds like this show is an even more miserable and depressing thing to sit through, and that’s just not what I want out of my tv shows tbh

Damn!
I'm caught up on this. Super rough watch, and not just because of how intense it's trying to be.
So much disbelief to be suspended. Not an ounce of empathy to be found for these characters.
I'm there watching the hospital scene in episode 4 completely stone-faced when I know I'm supposed to be feeling something.
I will say, the acting's good especially from both Nialls.
It's just so absurd and overly melodramatic that it's hindering my enjoyment of what could otherwise be a really interesting show, if everything was turned down a few notches.
I really like this show.
I like that as the show progressed the story switches from black and white and Nial becomes very unlikable.
My fav show right now
The blow-up at the jail?
The awful final scene of them forcibly laughing, revealing secrets when you just know that Niall is obviously gonna tell Ruben the baby isn't his?
The mother being the worst of all time in every single episode?
Lol yeah this show didn't go over well with me at all in the en, unfortunately. Older Niall acted his ass off the whole show tho, kudos.
