just finished ep1 thought it was great, visually stunning, great cast and the soundtrack was great too

been a long time since i read the books but one thing that kinda confused me is where are all the daemons at? we only see the ones of the main characters but shouldnt every person have one?

Was gonna catch the first ep but it was already 30 mins in before I remembered it was on Probably wait till it's all out now to watch it.

I grew up with the film and novels so I'm definitely giving this a shot, hope this is it

only the first episode is out but its def way better than the movie already. the cast is really good so i got high hopes for this

McAvoy was amazing as usual

finally someone putting in the money and dedication to make the books work on screen
the details on the CGI of the daemons is amazing
mcavoy was great but i think dafne keen stole the show. very hard to find good child actors and she did amazing imo

yeah I can tell there's passion behind this, never read the books so I don't know what to expect from it but I'm hooked already

you're right about Dafne she's great, last time I seen her was in Logan and she was impressive

This has great potential

The first adaptation of His Dark Materials was a movie called the Golden Compass in 2008 and it notoriously sucked ass for how much stuff from the book they cut from the movie. The show appears to be doing a lot better of adapting it
