Book readers don’t spoil this for me, but I’m wondering if Rhaena tames the dragon at the Vale as my initial reaction
Book readers wouldn't know because thats not a thing in the books
So if the rest of season 2 was bad as you currently find it to be, and season 3’s first episode started out bad, you would continue watching the product?
I have watched many a s*** show to their end
and that whole plot point with rhaena is why GRRM made a long ass post talking about "no dragons aren't nomadic"
Just know they cut what was potentially a really good character for it
Why does the GoT fanbase always hate on the "foreign" characters.
lowkey jace, baela and rhaena are worse actors imo
and the thing is there are episodes where it would be incredible if they weren't good no matter what preceeded them lmao. Like, the last ep of this season should be a banger no matter what.

i get your critique tbh like the material is there for it to be a tight and coherent show but it feel lacklustre at times due to the showrunners choices

This is where I (and I think basically anyone) would agree with critics in this needing to be a 10 episode season
Thrones had actors and actresses that were adored immediately because they had time to be developed characters. The last 3.5 combined seasons of this world should be more than 6-8 episode seasons and there should be time for character development for the B-team
To this point, I would agree that those three seem like nothing more than means to an end/extensions for Nyra. That being said, there seems to still be plenty of time for them to be very impactful people

Going to be honest all they had to do was make Aegon iii a few years older, not cut nettles and then follow the story as much as they could and add in some tv necessary stuff and boom 10/10

i hate her because she's nothing like her book character
same reason i dislike rhaenyra's characterization in this season so far (i liked her in this ep though)

these are fair criticisms, love the asoiaf universe as well and have seen worse nitpicks this szn
maybe I'm online too much lmao

on god nobody care about no goddamn rhaena man. let her hatch them eggs in peace

definitely agree.
i think jace and rhaena can be salvaged
with baela it's a bit more tricky but we'll see

I don’t think niggas itt will like it, but I would actually love if they did another Nyra conversational scene (doesn’t have to be long) where we flashed back and touched on the occasional intimacy of these two
If not for any reason than to beat it into Reddit losers heads that this s*** isn’t just HBO woke-ism and was actually set up
WOOOOOO
BLACK POWER
u know how that ended for missandei bro
teamgreen taking no prisoners
vhagar coming

they shoulda had a scene like that with missandei and dany

I'm teamgreen but aemond lost some aura when he was responding to that message from the lannisters
not my goat in that instance
Last 2 episodes have really dropped off in terms of pacing.
Dialogue is just as important , and I’m caught up on the books. Theirs no way you would think they fly through the maesters stories without adding development . I agree daemons arc in season 2 is lacking but it’s also cool to see how cursed harenall is even for a Targaryen. And how important witches are etc
