Well the nonsensical nature of this plotline makes sense once you know that the show wrote out a character called Nettles who's supposed to be the rider for sheep stealer for some reason and gave her plotline to rhaena

the pacing and set up for this show is absolute garbage. they've got too much on their plate and routinely fumble the development of characters, as well as the dynamics they have with other characters. They are completely different people from one episode to the next with no logic to explain why. And that's even worse from season to season.

If season 1 alicent saw what season 2 alicent was doing, she would kill her.
