Yeah, that whole sequence was dope. Made me wish they explored more of the sea side of GoT.

time to run back master and commander
everyone wants to f\*\*\* aemonds mum, even aemond himself
I dont know i cant get invested in it again
That's how I was feeling while watching, just finished after two tries. I just wasn't locked in. Maybe it'll take a couple episodes
Jace was right btw. Rhaenyra would have 100% been killed. Especially if Baella didn't join.
No, he wasn't. Rhaenyra is easily the most capable dragon rider on her side.
I have no reason to believe she wouldn't have performed much better than Jace and Baela were able to.
I also think that people put way too much blame on her, while 2 seasons long now it's literally just the men around her constantly s***ting the bed. Mostly because of their own hubris, and lack of faith in her, because she is a woman. It's funny and interesting to see how this same sentiment lives in the online comments as much as it does in the world of the show too though. Uncanny.
I always forget how sad the first episode endings are
Thought they were about to take him prisoner for negotiations… NOPE

All she does is play pacifist or procrastinator it’s mostly her fault season 2 was such a bore
Wasn’t expecting Jace to bite the dust
It was also so sad when the Dragon drowned. Really wasn’t expecting it to see it go down like that, I kept anticipating for it to somehow rise up but it wouldn’t have made sense as it was severely injured and in the water.
they need to put name tags on ppl in this show

I'd personally call her measured, rather than pacifist. You'd think people would appreciate her, especially since her descendant Dany was much more rash in her actions and throwing Tyrion, Varys and other more rational advisers words into the wind multiple times and then was ultimately hated for doing so. But again, so far, it's been the men s***ting the bed and consistently being at fault for every escalation in the story. I don't mind it, because I can see that that's the underlying story really.
But she receives a lot of flack while her actions are actually more than reasonable for what she wants to achieve. It's not dumb or unintelligent so much as it is a little naive at times, considering it's still a man's world she's navigating through.
With that said, I guess that's also where the problem lies and what she has to come to terms with one way or another. Her saying she ''has the heart of a king in a woman's body'' IS her lifelong battle. Her inner experience is at constant odds with the outer reality of an ultimately patriarchal world. I'm not a woman, but I empathize and so completely understand where she's coming from for most of the show. From her pov I can see how most of the men in the show continually prove their incompetence tbh, but I can also see how Rhaenyra and Alicent's choices can be perceived as stupid. It's but a matter of perspective and experience tbh.
I'm rambling and digressin' though.

She's probably better than Jace but Daemon & Caraxes are the most experienced and battle hardened on her side by far
we didn't get a confirmed death of the sea snake right? i'm guessing he's still alive

You right, I didn't include Daemon because I was only thinking about this sea battle and who was available for it at or around Dragonstone. But yes, I'd consider Daemon to be a league above Rhaenyra for sure.

Yeah, I think so. I was waiting for him to come up swimming at some point as well, but I'm sure he'll be back as well since all they showed was him falling off the boat into the water.
Since we didn't see him sink in his armor, he's gotta be alive

Baella was MVP in that fight for sure it's just that her and Jace's dragons are still basically babies. Only one of them got hit (twice) though
Sheepstealer's a badass too but uhh yeah.. lol
A Trans Woman - YG
Today I learned that captain was a trans woman.
Had no idea, but also don't care. Didn't f*** with her character at all, so I'm glad it died, but why are people so hyperfocused on her orientation? Let her live, she did her thing if you ask me.
spoilers in the title
Lmao I guess I can change it, but there’s no spoilers. It doesn’t reveal any events of the episode. This is a political drama, there’s plenty of ways to take an L in this universe

This, had no idea till I entered thread, was surprised tho cuz that character was hyped as a huge acquisition only to get taken out in first episode and fight
