Honestly, it was good. I wouldnt give it like super high marks but I definitely liked it.

Now that Daemon has seen the actual damage up front and close of what dragons can do i wonder if there will be a change to his character.

This has been a good turnaround for him. Him acknowledging that hes been s***ty has helped.

I doubt he can be fully redeemed after all he's done but I like where theyre going with him.

S2 was horrendous

100% so much better than last season.

I would say season 1 was really good but it was just Viserys and Daemon carrying.

This might be the best season just because it has much more action

the battle was solid from an action/battle choreography perspective. But the character development and plot beats on this show are nothing to write home about. Daemon is the only character who can hold a candle to the 15 or so best characters from GOT. Everyone else in HOTD is bland. None of the big plot points/twists are satisfying like they were in GOT. Not to say the show stinks - it’s very adequate. But thrones it is not.

Jacerys was a huge waste. Guy should’ve been the Black MVP smh

Rhanerya or however you spell her name should've had more of a game plan before becoming Queen, because she really is having an awful, poorly planned start!

I mean his death was just taken from the source material, he was never meant to have a big role in the conflict

Also there’s plenty of characters from the OG Game of Thrones that people thought would be the MVP , but they ended up having an unexpected death

I think the show does a good job showing what’s it’s like for someone to grow up entitled and privileged. Her whole life she was told she was destined for the throne, the throne is a guarantee for her

So she never really bothered to worry about fighting hard for her spot and didn’t need to think of any real plans. No one actually bothered to prepare her for the throne
