So the way this is all framed sucks because 90% of the audience is with the blacks and maybe 10% are with the greens and it’s all because they did all that unnecessary s\*\*\* last season about aegon with the rape and the fighting pits. Like that s\*\*\* was not in the book, or if it was and I’m misremembering then it had to be one of those accounts from mushroom’s lying ass. Now instead of the incompetent alcoholic king who’s only kinda a d\*\*\*head, he’s scum of the earth.

Meanwhile rhaenyra is poor little loving grieving mommy who can do no wrong. Anything bad that happens is because of daemon, or it’s an accident. They’re forcing a heroic kinda thing onto her just because she’s the “main protagonist”, but It’s not the rhaenyra show, it’s a show about the dance of the dragons. They whitewash both alicent and her way too much.

When I was reading about this it seemed like a giant cat fight with dragons and spite fueled atrocities, but neither Alicent nor rhaenyra have had any hand in any of the truly bad s\*\*\* that’s happened so far. It’s all happening to or around them.

Aemond lost in eye, that’s Rhaenyra’s kid’s fault. Aemond kills that kid (by accident, not even purely malice) it’s his fault, not alicent’s. Alicent’s grandkid gets his head cut off, it’s not rhaenyra’s fault, it’s daemon’s. Sooner or later they gotta ascribe some atrocities DIRECTLY to either of these girls or they’re really doing damage to the tragedy of the whole thing. The war is being fought by proxy through the men that are surrounding them, but it’s not even explicit, it’s like anything bad is because they went of script and did some wild s\*\*\*.

And that goes back to rhaenyra being lionized by the writers because if alicent and jaehaera are the only “decent” people on that side, and one is clearly in the wrong (misinterpreting viserys and usurping the throne), and the other is irrelevant, why would you root for the side with the rapist and the one eyed murderer?

More troubling is that the show is ugly and sucks! Oh look another darkly lit castle where everyone can talk in hushed tones. I wonder if the next scene will be an empty landscape with the exact same catatonia driving it

Yep we done with this show. No wonder they had to throw a dragon on top of the Empire State Building

I think the problem is more we're suck with the heads of royal families 95% of the time. The OG series was a lot farther reaching. The Starks are a minor family. Daeny was in exile. The wall is a s***hole. People hit the road.

I don’t think this is spoilers and it’s more like lore, they actually bring in a lot of cats to help with the rats and they instead get infested with cats.

To be fair the showrunners made sure to show a lot of rats throughout the castle in HOTD season 1, so it’s not a reach to imagine that the Greens got fed up with all the rats and hired rat catchers to walk through the castle all day

And this is why I don’t understand how people it’s saying that it’s poor writing that Blood and Cheese were easily able to walk through the castle

We were clearly shown that the rat catchers were given access to most of the castle. The writers have been much more thorough than they have gotten credit for
