I'm glad he has the capacity to critique when things aren't done the way he would like AND understand that there's some pretty implicit limitations with the TV art form. Like I don't think I've seen GRRM give wonton "the episode sucked because I would've done it like this" criticism yet
Nah episodes 2 and 3 clear, but this season is amazing. Clears anything on TV especially the Last of Mid.
Last of us was great u just salty
alicent is such an awful awful mother
aegon never had a chance. he was always gonna end up like this
I'm hoping there's a moment where someone really viciously dissects Rhaenyra and Alicent (especially the latter), because there's so many things that could've been gone differently if these two (especially Alicent) knew how f***ed they were as people
(especially Alicent)
S*** was crazy. Aemond damn near committed regicide right there.
For a second I thought he was loyal to his brother. Nah, he wants that crown himself
A scene that I found really fascinating was when Aemond was speaking Valyrian to Aegon. I think it’s the first time we’ve heard Aemond really speak the language
Then we find out that Aegon barely knows any Valyrian at all, and we see later during the fight that Aegon is the only dragon rider that speaks to his dragon in “common tongue” instead of Valyrian
Some REALLY good writing in every scene where Aegon gets undressed. It also couples with Aemond and the consistent theme of his ruthlessness in response to any slights
The slow build up with him and Daemon as separate but similar characters should result in a hell of a climax one day here (for external reference, I have not read the book; this is just a guess)
Prime Robb Stark >>>
Man Robb was just such a heartbreak
Dude really could've done it.
Rhaenyra its time for some nasty get back.
They already got it. They crippled the king and burnt him like a hotdog left on the grill too long.
At this rate your only opposition is Aemond lmao
I don't see how this war lasts 2 more seasons. Seems like the s*** could end within another couple battles
Not in terms of characterization
But in terms of just being a cartoonish ass villain in a world full of Grey characters who somehow things always break right for
Aemond is not cartoonish at all, they’ve done a good job of making him a multi-dimensional character whereas Ramsay was just pure psychopathy.
Aemond doesn’t get off on the violent and cruel things like Ramsay did. He’s cold, calculating, & does what he thinks is necessary for the best of the realm and his house. Because he’s still young he sometimes lets his worst impulses get in the way (killing Luke, attempting to kill Aegon). But he’s also shown some remorse for the terrible things done, something a cartoonish villain character would never do.

I don't think there has been one thing he has done that could be considered "for the good of the realm" or his house lol. He simply hates the fact his brother is king. its wild you say he's calculating but then pass off those two things as just his impulses getting the best of him when those were both calculated decisions lo
to me he's just literal cringe whenever he's on screen.
every other major player is more compelling

The subtitles for that scene were funny too. Aemond’s so polished and Aegon’s Valyrian is broken. 😂

Aegon being out the way is great for Greenfam.
Not looking at spoilers but i'm amped to watch this new episode
It's peaceful and cool and no one dies
Why doesn’t team black just use this 🤭🤭🤭

This s*** works on Dany's dragons that were like 5-10 years old, Vhagar is like 180+ they would need a perfect shot to the eye to take her down lol
It's peaceful and cool and no one dies
I know damn well it's the complete opposite
y'all gotta stop talking like this lmao its corny
Have some fun lame ass lol
Have some fun lame ass lol
rooting for the greens is literally like rooting for a house full of cersei's which is just ridiculous
We never have to worry about a GOT drought ever again
We’re eating every year for the foreseeable future
Gotta make sure the quality stays up though. I remember celebrating and saying the same thing as a MCU fan.
period, wonder why she wasn't using her fire though
All she had to do was say Dracarys
