depends on the circumstance. are they retreating or are they deserting? i've never been in the army but youre asking what would one soldier do if they saw another solider deserting and leaving his fellow soldiers to possibly die. idk. i probably wouldnt tell but at some point youre also f***ing over your friends/fellow soldiers

In the books, he dies. In the show, they fake his death. They changed this aspect for the show so it's uncharted territory but it's safe to say he won't come back. I think they just changed this to make Rhaenyra less of a bad person
