the irony of this show repeatedly making feminist statements while female indecision kills everyone
am i the only one that feels like aemond is barely a character?
His character development sucks
I can't think of anything worse than following up a f***er like Aegon with a f***er like Aemond
we're definitely going to get to a point where they (small folk) start eating each other, I feel
GoT seemed to have much more excitement in every episode, this is just was just boring. The big reveal being there are Targaryen b******s that can ride dragons
is the narrative trying to make us agree with the two queen's councils that women have no place at their war table
anytime alicent and rhaenyra have a tumbleweed of thought drifting through their deserted minds it only serves to make them appear foolish and irrational
Yes and that they cause unnecessary drama as well
Yes and that they cause unnecessary drama as well
Is Rhaenyra causing unnecessary drama though? Seems like that’s all Daemon
So Jace just offered the Freys Harrenhal, while Daemon is actively looking to raise up Harrenhal in his own image
Stuff like this is what makes this series fun (or a war documentary) bc it's simple small stuff that you know is going to end up in a bloody spat
Corlys feels like a good representative of American black people
They ask an endless amount of this man
Jace and Baela co-MVP this episode

She keeps wanting to charge into battle . She’s aegon 2.0.
They should of had a 1v1 and just squared it out
To me, the message of this series feels more like both women and men are incompetent, and it looks to skewer the incorrect narrative that men are better at this stuff
I don't really ever get the feeling that Nyra or Alicent are better at this than Daemon or Aegon/Aemond, but the realm would probably be better off if this notion could be publicly challenged

It was publicly challenged. The war. It still meant nothing.
I think the series gives sympathy to themes of female empowerment and equality.
While also smacking that narrative down by having two of the most incompetent female leaders in the entire series at the helm of both sides.
Like yeh women should have a say and can lead armies. To show that, here's the most moronic and petty b****es in the last few centuries to try to convince you they should be in charge.
Daemon just making everything complicated
Why can't this man just start ransacking castles f***
Season 2 doing everything to ruin my favorite character

I feel like that reveal is a pretty big deal.

the worst thing is they didn't even cast the best character to claim a dragon lmao

the way they arrived at it was totally irrational lol
war has been going on how long and you are just now getting to this conclusion?

The war is had because Viserys established relationships and some of those relationships honored the oath that he, a man made. Many of those same oaths have said repeatedly that they would rather back Daemon or at least don't have faith in a woman's leadership
My post is centered around the realm actually believing the sentiment, not just fighting a war out of loyalty
I feel like this episode returned to a healthy tempo of trying to build some story and relationships, but I can see why someone would think it was pretty dry
It's probably the first one where the Daemon side of the Riverlands/Harrenhal feels like it's wearing a bit thin. I'm having faith that there is a supreme level of payoff for all of this
Episodes are allowed to be slow and feature dialogue.
This one was just plain boring. How many scenes do we need, in one episode, of Daemon's little nightmares? How many episodes of Rhaenyra clamoring over having nothing to do?
I know how this season should end, lets see if they actually get there
if aemond really bout it he'd send a trade offer to oldtown "alicent for otto and daeron" idec if he gotta throw a draft pick in
Not a bad episode, I was expecting it to be slower anyway considering the last. Good tension building in many different relationships; dynamics shifting a bit. Next episode looks more exciting and I’m sure the final 2 will be bangers
