Broadcast on HBO, The Night Of premiered on July 10, 2016 to critical acclaim. Yeah he was originally supposed to star in place of Turturro (who still did an amazing job), but passed not too long after they shot the pilot, which delayed the show for like 3 years
they gave him an executive producer credit to honor him

Just finished episode 5 and I’m loving it so far, but holy s*** John chasing down Duane with a crowbar gotta be the dumbest s\*\*\* I’ve seen a character do in a show in a long time
