The Night Of is a 2016 American eight-part crime drama television miniseries based on the first season of Criminal Justice, a 2008 British series. The miniseries was written by Richard Price and Steven Zaillian (based on the original Criminal Justice plot by Peter Moffat), and directed by Zaillian and James Marsh. Broadcast on HBO, The Night Of premiered on July 10, 2016 to critical acclaim. The Night Of received 13 Emmy nominations, winning five, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series for Riz Ahmed.

2 episodes left, one of the best mini-series I saw. Michael K. Williams smoked his role as usual.

Yeah he was originally supposed to star in place of Turturro (who still did an amazing job), but passed not too long after they shot the pilot, which delayed the show for like 3 years

they gave him an executive producer credit to honor him

Just finished episode 5 and I’m loving it so far, but holy s*** John chasing down Duane with a crowbar gotta be the dumbest s\*\*\* I’ve seen a character do in a show in a long time

Also Nas with the shaved head and tough persona is giving me strong Nacho from Better Call Saul vibes
